The Austrian EDF group consits of 18 committed members, representing dairy farming in Austria, with a significant percentage of farms being certified organic. Characterized by small structured landscape and family owned operations, we all thrive for innovative and sustainable milk production.
Austrian EDF’s Group Representatives
EDF’s national branches form a vital part of our organization, bringing members together regularly at the national level to compare and analyze their farm figures, and discuss key topics in dairy farming and strategic management. These groups benefit from the support of our national Scientific EDF partners.
Branches with at least 10 members are eligible for representation on the EDF Council, ensuring their interests contribute to shaping the future of EDF.
Katharina Haring
EDF Council
Together with her father Katharina operates a dairy farm with 100 milking cows and growing crops in the Southeast of Austria.
Marco Horn
Scientific Partner
Marco has graduated in Livestock Sciences and Livestock Production Systems. Since 2015 he works as an advisor for the Agricultural Chamber of Lower Austria. Marco joined the EDF STAR Team in 2024.
